  • 1 cup shredded cabbage

Boil onion, peppers, cabbage and celery in water together with salt, pepper and herbs for flavoring. Any flavoring may be used as long as there is no fat included. Extra vegetables may be added except for beans as they add extra calories. Serve hot.

Ingredients:
  • 2 bananas, sliced (4 large bananas total for the day)
  • 2 glasses skim milk (almond milk or a very lite coconut milk will be fine as well)
  • 2 glasses crushed ice
Procedure:
In a blender, mix all ingredients until a creamy, frothy shake is formed. No sugar is required as the flavor is already naturally sweet. Serves 2.

Ingredients:
  • 1 cup beef tenderloin strips

Season the meat with lemon zest, salt, pepper and coriander and rest for 10 minutes. On a hot grill place tenderloin strips and until golden brown. Serve with sliced tomatoes.

Ingredients:
  • 1 broccoli
  • 1 red tomato
  • 1 yellow bell pepper
  • 6 beef cubes
  • 1 onion
Procedure:
Cut all the vegetables into quarters and skew them on barbecue sticks together with 2-3 beef cubes per stick. Baste with butter and season with salt and pepper then grill on open fire until beef is tender. Makes 3 servings.

Moong Dhal Sprouts with Fruit
Ingredients:
  • 1 ripe fruit (pear, mango, apple, grape, strawberries or cherries)
  • 1 cup moong sprouts (raw)
  • 1 peeled and sliced cucumber

  • 1 tbsp cilantro
  • 1 dash of salt
Procedure:
Soak the moong dhal sprouts overnight. The next morning, drain the water from the sprouts and cover loosely with cloth set for two days. Once the setting time has elapsed, rinse the sprouts and place on a bowl. Mix the sprouts together with the fruits, chili peppers and cilantro. Add salt to taste. This recipe can easily serves 4.

I am working women. I have a desk job so I cant move more during office hour. I can do excercise a bit less due to home responsibility and time constraint. I have consulted dietician last week. She suggested me to follow the diat plan as er their guideline and also do some light excercise.

My seven days diet plan incudes:

First Day, you need to start with day one with only fruits as per diet plan. You can choose fruits of your choice. You must ensure to follow your diet plan as per your present calorie requirement.


Second Day choose vegetables you find most suitable with. Eat as  raw  or boiled as much as possible. Do not use oil or salt or sugar while eating raw/boiled vegetable. Drink enough water as per diet plan.

Third Day choose both fruits and vegetables you like  with. Eat as fruits and vegetable as per yur diet requirement. Please make sure, not to use oil or salt.

Fouth Day you go with Milk, Banana and Vegetables as per diet plans to lose weight. The quantity of intake of milk(3 or less), eat banana(6 or less) and vegetable(less) as per your choice.

Fifth day stat with food like use rice and eat tomatoes (6) drink enought water too.

Six day start with eating rice and raw or boiled vegetables as per your choice. You eat rice in the morning period only  rest of the day, eat vegetables.

Seventh day is the last da for your diet plan. Eat fruits & vegetables as well as  rice (as recommended by dietician).

Itis the perfact diet plant, any one ca start with. I got good result. Kindly note that you continue some liht excercise as per your fitness and choice so that you will get good result of diet plan.

KLF14 Gene Responsible for Obesity and Diabetes


In London, recently King’s college has conducted studies and discovered the gene responsible for obesity and diabetes.  The gene reffered in the study can regulate the body fat and also cholesterol level and it is possible to make treatment of type 2 diabetes in near future.

The study is sponsored by the Welcome Trust and includes not only the King’s College in England but also being done at Oxford University, the University of Geneva and Welcome Trust Sanger Institute.

The study found that the KLF14 cell was known responsible to regulate the metabolic rate. This gene is inherent in the human body and switched on to the children from parents and ultimately leads to Gene related disease. However, some more research is required, but we are waiting for treatment of type 2 diabetes may possible in near future.
