A new study has demonstrated that Obese children have lower working memory than the children with normal weight. 

The main reason for obesity is The thinner cortex. This can decreased  function among kids with higher BMI..



The study carried out based on the based on  10,000 teens of teans over a 10 year period. They have carried out in every two years, they interviewed as well as passed through various test like blood test and  brain scans. The study analyzed results and find out that participants with higher BMI have low working memory.

The study found that the thickness of the cerebral cortex would directly related to BMI and its  executive function.
